I am asking that our very own Laura Fleming find out how the RHS Distinguished Alumni wall located near the main entrance inside RHS decides upon new members. Also, what we as a group can do to further Stephanie's nomination along. If you have seen the wall then you know that it is reserved for alumni who have made a name for themselves in the public arena. It is a nice addition to the many accolades that already exist for athletes, and in my opinion, very much overdue.

Paul,
ReplyDeleteThe Distinguished Alumni Wall outside of the RHS Main Office is a great idea to showcase the special accomplishments of RHS Alumni. Nominations can be made to Tom Gorman (RHS Principal and a RHS Grad) at TGorman@ridgewood.k12.nj.us I would think Stephanie would be a very worthy honoree. The stumbling block at this point is funding. The Athletic Hall of Fame is completely self funded and believe me we really struggle to keep it going. As far as I know there is no funding mechanism in place for the Distinguished Alumni Hall and thus there has only been one "Class" inducted.
